Carrot pulp marmalade

3 oranges
4 cups of water
3 cups of carrot pulp
4 tablespoons of lemon juice
3 cups of honey
1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger
1 package of store-bought dried pectin

Peel all three oranges and cut the rinds into very narrow slices. Cook the slices in four cups of water until they're tender ... then let 'em sit at least seven hours (or overnight).

Once the peelings have had a chance to stand for seven (or more) hours, add the carrot pulp to them and boil for 10 minutes.

Next, chop the oranges into a bowl and remove all seeds.

Then introduce the oranges, lemon juice, honey, and ginger to the pulp/peelings mixture and boil for 20 minutes more.

If—after 20 minutes-the marmalade has begun to jell on its own ... terrific! Pour the mixture into hot, sterile canning jars and seal. Otherwise—if the jam hasn't thickened-you should stir in the dried pectin at this point. (I don't know why, but sometimes you'll need the pectin and sometimes you won't. All I can say is, when in doubt . . . use the pectin.) Boil the pectin-enriched marmalade for another 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, but continue to stir for an additional seven minutes. Finally, pour the marmalade into hot, sterile canning jars and seal.

Thank's for the recipe Mother earth news!!

Book club - business

It's about time for another book club

I've selected 3 great books for valuable skills for your business and private life. Truly AMAZING books!! Especially the first two.

Check out:

Combining insights in negotiation research with the tactics used by some of the world's leading business strategists, this book is a guide to becoming a more effective negotiator. Richard Shell explores the hidden psychology and patterns that govern every bargaining situation. The text is driven by stories about everything from hostage taking and high stakes business deals to everyday encounters. It offers a step-by-step approach that draws on the reader's own communication style to make a skillful negotiator.

Did you know that by neglecting to negotiate her starting salary for her first job, a woman may sacrifice over a half a million pounds in earnings by the end of her career? Yet, as research reveals, men are four times as likely to ask for higher pay than are women with the same qualifications.
In this eye-opening book, Linda Babcock and Sara Laschever draw on research in psychology, sociology, economics and organisational behaviour as well as dozens of interviews to explore the personal and societal reasons women seldom ask for what they need, want and deserve at work and at home.
Women Don't Ask - a sensation when published in the US in 2003 - is a call to arms that will help you recognise the ways in which our culture perpetuates inequalities - and how you can begin to overcome them.

and to change the subject a little, going into economics, if it interests you:

What went wrong with American business at the end of the 20th century?
Until the spring of 2001, Enron epitomized the triumph of the New Economy. Feared by rivals, worshipped by investors, Enron seemingly could do no wrong. Its profits rose every year; its stock price surged ever upward; its leaders were hailed as visionaries.
Then a young Fortune writer, Bethany McLean, wrote an article posing a simple question - how, exactly, does Enron make its money?
Within a year Enron was facing humiliation and bankruptcy, the largest in US history, which caused Americans to lose faith in a system that rewarded top insiders with millions of dollars, while small investors lost everything. It was revealed that Enron was a company whose business was an illusion, an illusion that Wall Street was willing to accept even though they knew what the real truth was. This book - fully updated for the paperback - tells the extraordinary story of Enron's fall.

There is also a documentary type movie with the same name, which you can view on Netflix for example.

Raw Cupcake recipe!!

Many thanks to 'choosing raw' for the images and recipe.
I haven't tried this yet but planning to do so soon. Then you'll see my own comments on this and images

Ingredients for the Carrot Base:
Food Processor
Cupcake Holders/Fillers
Approximately 2-3 Cups of Shredded Carrots (Food Processed)
1.5 Cups (According to You) of Fresh Dates
Half Cup of Walnuts (Less if You Want Lower Fat)
Cinnamon
Fresh Slice of Ginger
Dash of Turmeric

Combine all ingredients in a food processor until the mixture reaches the consistency that you want. I like mine gooey, so I let the machine run for longer. Most will want more of a "bread" type consistency, so don't let it go for too long as to get the proper texture.

Press this mixture into the cupcake liners and refrigerate. Get ready to make your frosting!

For the Orange Vanilla Créme Frosting:
Approximately 2 Cups Soaked Cashews
1 Cups Pitted Dates
Small Stem or Scrape of Fresh Vanilla
Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice from 2-4 Oranges

Blend in a Vitamix or powerful blender. This is VERY thick and creamy and may take a while to get perfect!

Home Made chilli-chocolate Nutella !!!

Ingredients:
 150grams of hazelnuts
200grams of chocolate (milk or dark. I chose very dark 85%)
1/2 cup cocoa powder
Some coconut butter, vegetable or seed oil
optional: honey, agave or icing sugar. if you like it sweeter
optional: a little cayenne pepper or chilly powder
 a clean jar
Preheat your oven to 180째C or 350째F Pour your hazelnuts into a baking tray and roast them on the middle shelf for about 10mins.
While your nuts are toasting, break up your chocolate and melt. I made my own bain marie  by putting a metal bowl inside one of my pans. You can use any heat resistant bowl you like put the chocolate in and place it into a small pan filled with water. Bring the water to boil and your chocolate in the smaller bowl starts to form a heavenly chocolate fondu texture.

Keep and eye on your hazelnuts, once they start to go brown, they're ready. Take them out and leave them to cool a little. I used hazelnuts with skins on so the skins started to come off from the roasting. I took a couple of minute to go through them by hand to remove some of the skins, but didn't bother about every single one.

Throw them all into a food processor. Your nuts should start to look something like this:

After, add your cacao, optional spices and sweetener
pour in your melted chocolate
add 2 tablespoons of Vegetable or Coconut oil
Let the mixture twirl for a little longer
after a few seconds add a little more oil if needed
Twirl until you are pleased with your spreads texture. You want a smooth, molten mixture a little like Nutella, not a sort of thick cookie dough.

When you're happy with it, pour your deliciousness into a clean jar and seal it up tight. Store in the fridge and eat for breakfast on some warm homemade bread.

I felt like baking a Gluten Free Bread the other day, which tastes delicious with our homemade Chilli Nutella!!

Best is to not put the Nutella in the Fridge so that it doesn't get too hard! Although it will always melt on steaming Bread!! :)

Kimberley Snyder - beauty detox - green goddess

If I want to eat something deliciously healthy, have a little extra time on my hand to try making something new, following proper food combining
then I tend to look though Kimberley Snyders recipes in my e-book book ,the beauty detox solution' or google her name with the type of recipe I'd like to do.

I recommend anyone to get this book and read it. It helped massively in curing my cystic acne when I followed the program very closely for a few weeks and restored my gut health with it. I also lost way too much weight so I took on a more open approach to it after. But it was such a valuable experience, I still eat so much more greens since then, make more smoothies and know a lot of important information for real healthy eating, such as that I try to avoid gluten and dairy.

Kimberley also has a blog where she sometimes posts recipes. I also like some of her Videos. Check her out, it's worth it! I like her approach to beauty and health a lot and her emphasis that food is season and person dependent and thus it's important you listen to your body how much to use of her teachings. I just find it's fantastic to know more, so that in case you need it, you feel ill or overloaded/toxic or have any other issues, you will know what to do for good health/weight/happiness.

I also like the fact that this way of living is no diet and you can eat as much as you want and don't have to over excerceise to loose weight or anything excessive. It's all about balance and it's a way of loving, not a dump short diet plan you will not be able to stick with! It's really easy as you ddfintiely will automatically see some things in this book you like and will change in your lifestyle. Those changes will be amazing for your health and stick with you! This gives you time and confidence to just chill out a little more, let your body nourish and heal itself, look tons times better, start really enjoying your beautiful foods and your body. It's just a great great way of eating and living.

I often make an abbreviation of her infamous Dharmas Kale Salad and lots of green smoothies.

I also love her recipes for perfectly beauty detox healthy desserts that are good for you such as for example the sweet potato custard

Probiotics

Beauty starts in the Belly

If you have any skin problems such as acne or eczema or get ill a lot try starting to take Probiotics!
These are healthy gut bacteria and especially after taking an Antibiotic you have to insist in taking Probiotics. Antibiotics kill those good bacteria also so you'll have to help your body to produce them again.
Healthy guts can produce the bacteria but influence such as stress, medication, too much acidity in the body, wrong foods and other things can interrupt this natural function. Often this problem is not recognized and illness and conditions originate from there, which are often things we don't know where they came from or what's wrong with us. Even newly formed allergies, skin issues or problems to concentrate can be such a symptom.

If you are hooked and want to buy a probiotic supplement take the foooowing point in consideration:

Make sure your Probiotic states that it has a protective layer so it will go though your stomach acid without to destroy all the bacteria before they get to your gut.

Make sure you buy a probiotic with as many different Baceria as possible. I don't mean as many millions of one, rather how much variety. (for example Lactobacillus acidophilus or Saccharomyces cerevisiae boulardii)
It's best to first research which bacteria is best for your 'health condition' and then buy a probiotic which includes that bacteria. There is a list of a few well knows bacteria and their healthy impact in the end of this post.

Good Probiotics: Kimberley Snyder
Dr. Ohira Probiotics
 Dr Mercola Probiotics
Mercola:
66billion per capsule
Positive: it has been found that the number on the packet is underpromising, meaning the product delivers even more probiotics than claimed. Which is a good sign.  (closer to 100billion)

Do your research
Avoid the ingredient magnesium steroid titanium dioxid. As that promotes growth of a bile film which limits absorption.

You want:
- high potency product billions
- objective testing (no in house company testing only)
- trial-error, try which probiotic works best ofr you, everyone is different.

Read the text below to learn more about Probiotics

What are Probiotics? Bacteria with Benefits

Dr. Leigh Erin Connealy Probiotics are defined by the World Health Organization (WHO) as “Living microorganisms that provide a health benefit to the host when ingested in adequate amounts.” That fairly boring description hardly does justice to these tiny organisms, though.
In fact, the word “probiotic” actually means “for life” – and that’s an excellent description of these beneficial bacteria. Without sufficient supplies, your health can suffer in both mildly annoying and very serious ways. Let’s take a look at beneficial bacteria, also known as probiotics.

What Can Probiotics Do?

  • Help you lose pounds and manage your weight.
  • Decrease your likelihood of being diagnosed with cancer.
  • Assist in managing Type 2 diabetes.
  • Aid in lowering LDL (bad) cholesterol.
  • Improve your digestive function and comfort.
  • Keep your immune system strong, reducing colds and flu.
  • Support good colon health by making it easier to manage constipation, diarrhea, and bloating, as well as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
  • Decrease allergies.
  • Reduce yeast infections.
  • Synthesize vitamin K, which is essential for healthy bones.
  • Combat anxiety and depression.
  • Improve mood and brain functions.
  • Decrease your likelihood of developing auto-immune disorders.
  • Prevent the overgrowth of yeast and other harmful organisms.
  • Enable the body to absorb and utilize essential minerals, such as calcium, zinc, and iron.
  • Assist in the manufacturing of several members of the B vitamin family.
  • Enhance communication between your brain and intestinal tract.
  • Support healthy longevity overall.
That’s a very impressive list of health benefits. In fact, I’d go so far as to declare probiotics one of the closest things we have at the moment to a magic bullet that can solve a whole host of health problems. However, our good bacteria are constantly under attack as a result of poor lifestyle choices, like eating processed foods and drinking alcohol, as well as by taking antibiotics. So let’s take a moment to learn a bit more about probiotics, how they can benefit your health, and how to make sure you have plenty of them.

A Closer Look at Probiotics and Antibiotics

Probiotics are what’s known as beneficial bacteria. They are part of a normal, healthy digestive tract. Under ideal circumstances, babies inherit probiotics from their mothers at birth. Unfortunately, the practice of using antibiotics to treat everything, including the common cold (which does not work, by the way, since colds are caused by viruses, not bacteria), is backfiring.
Taking unnecessary antibiotics is bad for two reasons. First, many dangerous bugs have evolved so that they are immune to antibiotics. Second, our own internal colonies of probiotics are being decimated by repeated exposure to antibiotics. This exposure can come from prescription drugs or factory-farmed meat, which uses antibiotics to encourage weight gain in animals.
Meanwhile, recent research is providing plenty of reasons to make certain your own probiotic population is thriving. Longevity researchers, for instance, have found that the diets of some of the longest-living populations on the planet are centered on probiotic-rich fare. And others have determined that maintaining a healthy population of good bacteria in the intestines may be useful in boosting the immune system, which prevents the repeated colds and bouts of flu that can turn into life-threatening respiratory ailments, like pneumonia. In addition, here are a few more reasons to make sure your probiotic population is healthy and happy.

Probiotics and Healthy Weight

For several years now, researchers have been studying the link between certain types of unfavorable bacteria and obesity. Animal studies have revealed that substituting good bacteria for the bad ones results in weight loss, and early human trials support those findings. Since weight management is very important to good health, I’ll keep you posted on future developments in this area. But for the time being, if you’re interested in losing weight, probiotics could be your best friend.

Probiotics and Cancer

Ongoing research examining probiotics’ effect on cancer suggests several possible ways that these beneficial microbes fight the disease. For example, fermented dairy products appear to have anti-tumor effects. In addition, probiotics may suppress the growth of unhealthy bacteria that create an environment favorable to cancer. Finally, probiotics are showing potential as a means of protecting against colorectal cancer, the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the country.

Probiotics for Managing Type 2 Diabetes

Here again, researchers are finding promising outcomes in clinical trials focusing on the use of probiotics to treat and/or prevent Type 2 diabetes. Early studies indicate that a combination of dietary improvements and proper probiotic supplementation, especially with the Lactobacilli and Bifidobacteria strains, may be the best bet for anyone with pre-diabetes or diabetes.

Probiotics for Lowering Bad (LDL) Cholesterol and Raising Good (HDL) Cholesterol

Research has shown that probiotics can help maintain healthy cholesterol levels in three important ways.
  1. These bacteria use cholesterol as fuel, so there’s less of the substance in your body.
  2. Probiotics also reduce the amount of cholesterol your liver makes.
  3. Ingesting probiotics may lead to a significant increase in good (HDL) cholesterol. This is a real advantage, since it is difficult to raise HDL levels, and that alone can be a boon to your heart health.
As I noted earlier, there are plenty of reasons to add probiotics to your daily regimen. The simple fact that they help maintain supplies of good bacteria in the intestines – thereby enhancing digestion and preventing bad bacteria from gaining a foothold – is a huge advantage to your health. So is their ability to support a strong immune system, which protects you from colds and flu, as well as complications from those ailments. And if occasional constipation, bloating, and/or diarrhea ever troubles you, here again, probiotics helps reduce these annoyances by maintaining a healthy colon. Even suffers of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) have found some relief with probiotics!
The truth is, the list of probiotic benefits is long and constantly growing as researchers continue to find new and exciting ways these good bacteria can improve our health. Just recently, for example, scientists discovered that probiotics play a role in emotional health by combating anxiety and depression and lifting overall mood. There is even preliminary research showing that serious autoimmune disorders, such as multiple sclerosis, may be linked to too few good intestinal bacteria and too many of the bad variety.

Making Probiotics Part of Your Life

Probiotics are an essential ingredient in many fermented foods, including yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, buttermilk, kimchi, cheese, miso, and tempeh. While you can get some beneficial bacteria from eating these foods, there’s no reliable way to tell how much they contain In addition, supermarket yogurt is not a good way to get these nutrients. First, it contains far too few probiotics. For good health, we need doses that include billions of organisms. Second, it’s loaded with sugar, and some brands contain artificial flavorings and color, too.
That’s why supplements are the best way to be certain your beneficial bacteria are plentiful and functioning properly. If you’ve ever shopped for probiotics, though, you know that finding the right product is not easy. There are literally thousands of different strains of beneficial bacteria, making for a very confusing shopping experience.
No matter which probiotic product you choose, for best results, follow the dosage and storage instructions (some probiotics need to be refrigerated). One suggestion: Since probiotics do not like heat, I suggest avoiding hot beverages for an hour after taking supplements. Based on the responses from my patients, you may notice an improvement in your health within days.
As long-time patient, Darren, who suffered from symptoms of mold contamination (runny nose, coughing, fatigue, headaches, and joint pain) noted, “After two days on the probiotics, something changed for the better, and I haven’t been sick since. Even my wife noticed the difference. Now I recommend them to anyone who’s feeling ‘off’ and doesn’t know why. Great stuff!”

70 year old woman looks like 40 with a raw vegan diet

I just came along this video on you tube. It's this 70 year old woman who looks super young.

Looking at this woman's garden I think her food must be soo delicious! For any of you who don't like vegetables, buy them good fresh organic and you'll taste the difference! Raw cauliflower from Riverford for example is the best thing ever!!
I love veggies and like to eat healthily, every day some raw greens, as many possible etc but I love to have fun, so it's best to follow the 80-20 Rule! Be healthy 80% and indulge the other 20% for me at this point in my  life there is not point to restrict msyself completely from things. That largely depends on your age and lifestyle though! I am very acive and social and travel a lot so it wouldn't be fun to follow a 100% raw diet, plus I like eating warm foods in winter.
To make sure I get my veggies fresh, cheaply and just to have them around, I order boxes at Riverford if you browse the web you'll see there are plenty out there. you can easily compare prices. I've had excellent experience with Riverford. I love the quality of the produce, I like how it's a family run small business so it's a very personal and friendly customer service. I like supporting the company too.

There are lots of delisc raw recipes out there. But be aware to still follow the right food combinations so you don't get bloated when changing your diet this radically. Read my post on food combinations.

I talk about good gut bacteria, so called Probiotics in this post. Your gut is often referred to as your second brain as so many things, even your mood are influenced by your gut and vise versa. Read about that subject here.

This woman eats only raw foods and therefore gives her body the opportunity to constantly heal itself as not having to deal with too many toxins for liver and kidneys to get rid off nor difficulties with digestion. She keeps herself 100% alkaline this way too so there is no way she can get ill. It acts super anti ageing.

Daily face skin care routine

I am so glad I came along dr. Hauschka's products and philosophy of skin care.

I started to use dr. Hauschka with their beginners set for ca 18£ (below) which is perfect to get used to the products, try the different face moisturizers and more. I often just repurchase it as I like to have variety I like small sizes.
I bought the set for normal to dry skin, but there is also one for oily skin

Starter Kit for normal to dry skin

Besides using dr. Hauschka and his approach to skin care, what has also hugely helped me to improve my skin, was to steam cleanse my face using a hot towel every morning and evening!
It feels amazing and opens pores too, your skin will thank you.

Just face-massage the dr. Hauschka cleansing cream or milk with a tiny bit of water in circular movements. You have the choice as the beginners set includes them both. I love the cleansing cream as it has a lightly exfoliating property with its oats content, whereas the cleansing milk is white and best suitable if you have make up to remove)
While you are massaging any of the lotions in, let your face towel rinse though hot water. I like using normal face clothes as I like the texture of the thick towel material steaming pressed on my face.
Do exactly that, push the hot towel lightly, maybe massage a little which has a nicely exfoliating effect. Don't rub and be careful not to use the towel too hot, not to burn yourself!

Follow with dr Hauschka toner to balance your skins PH.
Then add either nothing or a serum if you are doing night care or a choice of your moisturizer (with or without serum) for the day.

If I have to remove any heavy eye make up I am using pure organic jojoba oil on cotton balls. I normally order the pure organic oil from amazon. It's pretty cheap and great for the skin! Not just for dry skin, also for oily skin as it will balance your skins oil production! Obviously this does not happen over night, so it may be that your skin gets worst when you first start using it as all the 'dirt' gets pulled out of the pores.
I sometimes even use it instead of the cleansing milk or as a light serum or moisturizer.

I use jojoba oil often especially in the evenings to make sure all the make up is gone. The oil does your skin well and it works great as well if you use it in the same way like the cleansing lotions by first massaging into your skin again and then go over it with the hot face towel.

Favourite Hand creams for winter crackles

I use hand creams every day in this cold weather. It is evident for me to use organic types, out of the following 3 reason:
- I don't want to induce anything else chemical into my body on top of everything else we experience daily The following hand creams
- these ARE just so much better than any non organic/non natural ones I've tried ! (Such as Elisabeth Arden and others) my organic favies do their job so much better
-most importantly: every time when I use one of those 3 besties I find myself feeling like I am indulging in  a luxury and can't stop smelling my hands as those creams smell so amazing! It's truly a little daily indulgence, you'll thank yourself! They're just yummy

Here my recent favourites

Weleda Pomergranate ca 8£

Aww I LOVE the smell of this one!!

Dr Hauschka ca 12£

Fantastic hand lotion, sinks into the skin very quickly

Neil's Yard bee lovely Hand Cream ca 10£

Yummy smell as well, sinks in very quickly

They all vary in texture but are not oily and go in the skin quickly. You'd have to try yourself which one you like best. They also all smell fantastic. It depends on your preference really.

Optimal food combining for health

I discovered I have the least digestive problems and feel best and most energetic and most importantly NOT bloated, tired or brain foggy, when I use the following proper food pairings.

Thank you Ashley Pitman at Mind Body and Green for this informative article.

I recommend saving the food chart (below) into your photo library for quick reference before preparing food. It's easy you'll know it by heart after a few uses.

If you've ever felt bloated, burpy, gassy, fatigue or even heartburn after a meal, chances are you're guilty of bad food combining.
With a few simple tweaks to your diet, proper food pairing can have you experiencing more energy, better skin, better sleep and natural weight loss within a couple of days. And, believe it or not, you don't have to be a veganvegetarian or raw foodie to do get results.
The gist of food combining is that different types of foods digest at different rates. When you eat several foods that digest at different rates your digestion gets out of whack and things begin to rot and ferment in your body. This "sludge" turns into stored toxins. And, when your body can't digest food properly it misses out on being able to absorb the nutrients in food leaving you with low energy, breakouts and poor sleep. It's an all around bad deal.

All food combining guidelines take into account the speed at which food digests. Fruit digests the quickest, then greens, then non-starchy vegetables, then starches and then, digesting the slowest, is protein. Eating foods in the correct order (according their transit times) ensures a traffic jam-free (and toxin-free) digestive tract.
When you get the combining right, your body gets to use the nutrients in the food. This leaves you with more energy, which inevitably equals more beauty.

Here are the food combining basics:
  • Starches Veggies = OK
  • Proteins Veggies = OK
  • Proteins Starches = No No
  • Plant Proteins Plant Proteins = OK
  • Animal Proteins Animal Proteins = No No
  • Starches Starches = OK
  • Fats Proteins = No No (or pair moderately)
  • Fats Carbohydrates = OK
  • Fats Starches = OK
  • Fruits are best eaten on an empty stomach
  • Fruit Raw greens = OK (except melons)
All of these guidelines can seem overwhelming at first, but it's really quite simple to find meals that work. As a compliment to the lovely Nadya Andreeva's post, '10 Common Food Combinations that Wreck Havoc on Your Health', here are 7 Food Combinations That Won't Wreak Havoc on Your Health:

1. Avocado sushi rolls - Avocado is a fat and rice is a starch.

2. Baked chicken with broccoli - Eat the broccoli first because it's a non-starchy vegetable, which digests quicker than chicken, which is a protein.

3. Pasta Primavera - Pasta is a starch and the rest of the ingredients are veggies.

4. Salad with guacamole and corn chips - Eat the salad and guacamole first because they're veggies, then the corn chips, which are a starch.

5. Green salad and grilled fish - Eat the salad first, which is a plant veggie, and then fish second, which is an animal protein.

6. Apple, followed by scrambled eggs twenty minutes later - The fruit goes first because it digests the quickest, protein comes second because it digests the slowest.

7. Steak with lightly sautéed spinach - Eat the spinach first because it's a veggie, then the steak, which is an animal protein.

I invite you to try a couple of these meals this week OR switch up the order in which you're eating your current meals. Remember, fruits go first, followed by greens, non-starchy vegetables, starches and protein.

Creamy green Persimmon Smoothie - super delicious -super healthy

This smoothie is great for breakfast, an afternoon snack or if you feel like something creamy and sweet anytime.

What I love about mixing bananas and avocados in a smoothie is, that the smoothie gets perfectly creamy! It's the perfect mix! The sweetness  of the banana and its texture complements perfectly with that of an avo. Just heavenly.

This time I've added Persimmon I bought at borough markets. I love persimmons. Try them if you don't know them! They also make excellent Sorbet. You can do that with the blender too. I will post a recipe for that soon.

It's a healthy food combination too as avo and bananas can be put together without problems. Read this post about optimal food combinations for your health. You can add nut milks as it's neutral, although it won't need it.
I prefer this smoothie without.
Don't add any proteins to this mixture (like protein powders or whole nuts or seeds) as Persimmon is a fruit and fruit should not be eaten with anything other than fruit or greens. If that confuses you, read my post about food combining.
Both banana and Avo are exemptions and also count as fruit. This is why this combo is fine.

For my Persimmon super power smoothie, one glass of it you'll need:

- 1 big beautiful glass
- half a cup of filtered water
- half small avo
- some staranise and clove if you like.. or nutmeg (I like their flavours and cloves are one of the highest antioxidant foods out there! Be careful with them as they are super bitter. Make sure you grind them well)
- 1 Persimmon
- some spirulina (not too much here again, as Spirulina does not taste great!)
- Baby spinach
- a little Himalayan pink Salt
- half frozen banana (I use a frozen Banana as I like to keep the temperature of the smoothie down. Instead of the frozen banana you can always use a normal banana and use ice instead of the water mentioned above)

Start with the water(or ice), star anise and clove, spinach, frozen banana put everything into the blender start low speed and end up with high speed, add the rest of the ingredients.

Pour into your glass when everything is perfectly blended and smooth.

Enjoy.

It's soo yummy !
