Easy Quinoa Bowl

Share it Please

This is an easy lunch or dinner recipe. I cook quinoa often as it's one of the two only alkaline grains (next to millet) you can eat. It's so healthy and has lots of proteins and nutrients.
I like to soak my Quinoa in some filtered water in a tea cup in the fridge a day to a few hours before cooking just because it makes it even easier digestible and your body can access all the good stuff lie vitamins and minerals better , as they get sprouted (or almost sprouted if you soak them only for a few hours) If you have a stomach like a horse no worries about soaking but as I've said like with lentils it's just even healthier if you soak grains in general. (Nuts and seeds even more importantly too by the way)
Ok, so this quinoa bowl is something I cook lots on days where I have nothing much on, no dinners or lunches out.

I take my soaked/sprouted quinoa out of the fridge, sieve the water out.
In a pan I fry some onion and garlic and tomate puree in some coconut oil.
Add some canned tomato when it's time (its time when the puree starts to smell sweet before it burns or when the whole thing gets too hot)
and add the quinoa
I normally also add Himalayan Sea Salt, Pepper, Cayenne Pepper, some Balsamic Vinegar and Apple cider raw vinegar, Sometimes Tumeric, Curry and/or Nutmeg. This time I also had some fresh Sage in the fridge so I added that.
I also added leek.
I let it cook for a little, taste, add some more thing I think it needs.
Take off the heat, let it cool down.
Serve on a bed of organic Watercress.
Add some more fresh Sage and Extra Virgine Olive Oil or Extra Virgine Coconut Butter/oil on top for extra deliciousness.
Yumm... easy and soooo delicious and one of the healthiest things you can eat!!!
